Stains blend exceptional color with robust UV protection, thanks to their sturdy alkyd resin formula. The result is a completely opaque finish that imparts lasting beauty for deck surfaces. Containing 100% alkyd resin, these solid color stains are exceptionally durable, designed to withstand heavy foot traffic and wear.
These stains are well-suited for use on a variety of exterior wood decking materials, including pressure-treated pine, red and white cedar, fir, cypress, redwood, and hardwoods such as mahogany, cambara, merani, and other exotic wood species. Formulated with special blends of alkyd resins and all-natural pigments, these stains can be applied evenly with a brush, spray, or roller. For optimal results, use a high-quality, natural bristle brush. If spraying or rolling, be sure to backbrush immediately after each section is coated to ensure proper penetration.
The stains dry to a uniform opaque finish. On smooth surfaces, they can cover approximately 400 to 500 square feet per gallon, with less coverage on rough surfaces. Clean up is easy with mineral spirits. For VOC-compliant options, refer to the series starting with SKU 785245.
